2008 Beekeeping Course Series with Talon VanHowten
Talon VanHowten will be giving our beekeeping courses this year in a series of five Saturday sessions beginning in April. Talon VanHowten is a certified beekeeper who keeps seven hives of his own. He is also an artist, a body-worker and the son of internationally known author and founder of Life Impressions Institute, Donald VanHowten.
Courses are scheduled on the following weekend dates:
April 12, May 3, June 7, July 13, August 2, and Sept. 6. Students may attend either a morning session (9-12am), or an afternoon session on the same material (2-5pm). Students will learn how to build hives, collect swarms, harvest honey and make salves, soaps and candles. Each group is limited to 10 students.
