Arbol De SEDA is not only a charming and warm place, it is also an amazing restaurant for food lovers. They cook with love and great knowledge of every product, the veggies are incredible; the burgers, soup and corn pizza are out of this world! Finally the people working there are incredibly professional and warm, they take care of you while giving you your space and intimacy. You can order delivery as well, but we suggest you enjoy the whole experience by dining in.

Apotecario is a worthwhile and easy mile walk from central downtown, located in an up and coming neighborhood of Barrio Escalante. It's comfortably small, kitch in its decor and just plain fun to be at. Their menu is varied, fresh, creative and delicious. The service is spot on, timely and helpful. They serve alcohol and their own microbrewery beer, which is especially good. They also have live music on the weekends.

The roof of the Hotel Presidente is home to Azotea Calle 7, a perfect retreat from the vibrant - and sometimes chaotic - downtown San José. You can enter from Calle 7, between Avenida Central and Avenida Segunda, taking the elevator or going up two floors via the red spiral staircase that will take you directly to the red brick terrace, surrounded by colorful summer trees, palm trees and a tree of lemon whose fruits could end up in your cocktail.   • Pre- Columbian Gold Museum 

 

Costa Rica's Numismatic and Pre-Columbian Gold Museum boasts one of the largest collections of gold artifacts in Latin America.
